The Don Don Festival, specialty produce showcase and unmanned booths will be back this year too! Look forward to a wide array of goods and yummy delights then!

The 14th Yonezawa Don Don Festival will be held concurrently with the Nasebanaru Autumn Festival on 23rd and 24th September! 12 creative and delicious dishes will be prepared by 9 participating operators this year!
Dishes are distinguished between special dons which cost 1,300 yen (2 tickets) and regular dons which cost 650 yen (1 ticket).

The Yamagata Crafts Association will host the Yamagata Kogei in Okitama 2023 exhibit from 15th to 16th September here!
These works have been imbued with a combination of the elements of Yamagata and the experiences of the crafters’ forefathers before them. Borrowing from the abundance of motifs and materials available in Yamagata’s magnificent landscape, these craftspeople mastered the techniques passed down by their forefathers and added their own innovative twist to the traditions they learnt. Their members aspire to create new, never-before-seen works in their creative practices.

It’s that time of the year again! Every Saturday from 26th August 2023 to 23rd September 2023, the evening special Sunset Cruising will commence at Tengendai Kogen!
Ropeway hours will be extended, with the last cable car going up the highlands setting off at 6:00 pm. Standard two-way ropeway rates apply (1,700 yen for adults, 1,200 yen for elementary schoolers).
On the final day of this campaign (23rd September), a special Fireworks above the Clouds event will be held!

Operating Hours: Ropeway hours will be extended past 5:00 pm.
Last cable car going up departs at 6:00 pm.
Last cable car going down departs at 6:30 pm.
* Hours may be adjusted depending on the weather conditions and sunset timing.
Fireworks above the Clouds!

Are you ready to chow down on some meat? Head on over to Denkoku no Mori for this year's Nikunojin on 26th August and brace yourself for an assortment of meat dishes! Beef and pork won't be all that's there, you can also expect chicken, mutton, horse, and game meat! You can also vote for this year's Meat Shogun on site if you so wish!

Fast Pass
Skip the queue with the Fast Pass! Each ticket costs 500 yen and can only be used at one store to purchase up to 2 items on the menu. Please note that this is a separate charge from the food itself.
Fast Passes can be purchased at the Young Entrepreneurs Group booth.
Shuttle Bus Information
Shuttle buses will be available to ferry passengers to and fro Yonezawa City Hall and Denkoku no Mori.
The first bus leaving City Hall departs at 10:30 am, while the last bus departs at 7:30 pm.
The first bus leaving Denkoku no Mori departs at 11:30 am, while the last bus departs at 8:30 pm.
