Due to unseasonably warm weather and a lack of Snow Yonezawa Ski Slope will open from the 19^th – there is a possibility that this date will be extended due to weather conditions.

Planned opening from the 26^th due to low amounts of snow-fall.

The 39^th annual Uesugi Snow Lantern festival will take place on Saturday the 13^th and Sunday 14^th of February.

Every year the people of Yonezawa build beautiful Snow Lanterns and now applications to join the festivities are open!

For groups wishing to participate in the Snow-Lantern building contest please click here.

Information about stage events and volunteer staff will also be released mid-November.
