Nagai City is registered as the Host-town for Tanzania during the pre-games opf the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Ambassodor for the United Republic of Tanzania in Japan visited Nagai prior to the Mayor and the city delegation's visit to Tanzania in October, 2017.
