One of the best things to do during the summer season is to go to festivals.

One of the biggest festivals to see in Nagai is the "Mizu Matsuri" or the Water festival.

Aside from the delicious food, the best thing to watch is the Firework display at night.

This festival is about water. Nagai City is known to have clean water that you can drink it straight from the tap.

If you visit Nagai, you can come and enjoy the festival. It is celebrated at the beginning of August.

夏の間にぜひともやっておきたいことは、お祭りにいくこと。
長井の大きなお祭りのひとつは、水まつりですね。

美味しい食べ物はさておき、夜に花火の打ち上がるものを見るというのは最高！！

長井市といえば、この列車！
フラワー長井線と呼ばれています。　
これはJRではなく、第三セクター鉄道となっています。
主に高校生の通学や私みたいに車を所有していない人が使っています。

One thing that is known for Nagai is the train. They call this train the Nagai Flower Line. This diesel powered train starts from Arato station to Akayu Station and back. There are two trains on this line which are a one-car train and a two-car train. This line is not part of the JR line since it is owned by a private train company. The train is mostly used by high school students and people who have no car like me. The train starts from 5:59 in the morning and the last train is at 8:08 pm if you want to go to Akayu. This train was also featured in the Japanese movie "Swing Girls" and also featured in a famous Japanese detective drama. If you have the chance, take a ride on this train.

長井に住んで、沢山の種類の食べものを食べました。

もちろん、ラーメンは一日の中でほとんど食べることができるものですね。

わたしがラーメンが食べたくなった時に　いつもいくお店が１軒あります。

そのお店の名前は「あなぐま」！小さい飲食店でおいしくて手頃な値段のラーメンです。

私が食べるラーメンは塩ラーメンっぽい普通のものから　馬肉ラーメンみたいにスペシャルなものまでいくつかあります。

夕食時にこのお店に来ることができますが、お客さんは飲んだあとに食べにくるんです。

日本人の習慣みたいなものなんですね。もし時間があったら、召し上がってください。

While living in Nagai, I get to experience eating different kinds of food. Ramen, of course is one you can eat almost any part of the day. There is one shop I usually go to when I want to eat ramen. The name of the shop is "あなぐま"(Anaguma). This small restaurant has tasty and affordable ramen. Some of the ramen I eat is from the regular ones like the salt ramen (しおらーめん (in the picture) to the special ones like the horse ramen (ばにくらーめん). You can come here for dinner, but people come here to eat after drinking since it's kind of a custom of Japanese people. If you have time, you should try it. See you on the next post.

長井にはたくさんのラーメン屋さんがあって、それぞれの味で知られているけど

みなさんは”たまげたらーめん”を食べたことはありますか。

”たまげた”は英語ではサプライズ！（日本語ではびっくり！）の意味です。

私は最近そこに友達と一緒に行ってきて、その友達が昼食にとそれを勧めてくれたのです。

そのラーメンの値段はリーズナブルでしたが、そのどんぶりのサイズにはとっても驚きました！サイズは二倍あるでしょう。もしかしたら普通のラーメンの三倍はあるかもしれません。

通常のサイズは700円、でもたくさん食べたい人なら麺の量が2倍の1050円のものもありますよ。

ということで、もしラーメンをたくさん食べたい気分なら、お肉がなくなるとすぐにその日の営業は終わっちゃうのでどうぞお早めに行くべきですね。

There are many Ramen shops in Nagai that are known for their different taste but have you ever tried Tamageta ramen?

"Tamageta" in English means "surprise".

I recently went there with my friend and he recommended to eat there for lunch.

The price for this ramen is reasonable but the thing that "surprised" me is the size of the bowl.

The size of it is double or maybe even triple the normal Ramen bowl.

The regular size is 700 yen but if you like ramen a lot, there is also the 1050 yen bowl where the noodles double in volume.

So, if you ever feel like eating this ramen, be sure to go early as the restaurant stops serving as soon as the meat is all gone.

寒い冬の日にいつも私がすることは、お家にいて睡眠をとること。
でも夜に友達と一緒にいるときは、長井のココスにいって食事をします。食べ物が美味しいから＾＾

私の個人的な考えですが、数時間滞在したり長井時間のおしゃべりにも持って来いですね。
