The Isazawa Kubo no Zakura has bloomed earlier this year! It's beautiful as always, and continues to be a symbol of the area. This tree is estimated to be about 1200 years old, but it's still amazingly resilient despite its age!
今年は 伊佐沢の久保桜、例年よりも早くに満開を迎えましたね。
変わらぬ美しさ、そしてこの地区のシンボルとして歩い続けるでしょう。
この桜、樹齢1200年と推定されていますが、この樹齢にもかかわらずおどろきの回復です。

一日中 伊佐沢の生徒さんは ”英語だーけ”で、四時間の授業を受けました。
ゴードン先生と一緒にクッキーを作って、ミリアム先生と一緒に英語の映画をみて。
ダン先生と一緒に体育をして。そして、私と一緒に英語の本を読んで。
今までにないくらい、子どもたちのリスニングをスピーキングが高いレベルに到達した素晴らしい経験になりました。
All English Day at 伊佐沢小学校! For one whole day, the students at Isazawa had a chance to have 4 lessons in ONLY English! They made Cookies with Gordon-sensei, watched English movies with Miriam-sensei, played in PE class with Dan-sensei and read English books with me. It was a great experience - and their listening and speaking level is higher than ever!

There is a beautiful traditional soba restaurant hidden in the heart of Isazawa in Nagai that makes delicious soba - and mochi! It was my first time eating soba, and this was definitely a great experience for that.
