The Okitama basin is surrounded by mountains and is covered with rice paddies. Summertime can be very hot, but winter brings a great amount of snowfall, and there is a clear distinction between each of the four seasons. Unique local foods are grown in abundant nature. Our culture was created by our ancestors through agriculture and the warring states period. There are also both famous and secret hot springs here where you can relax after your journey.
