TRAC has a sports day, and some of us choose Segway, a funny looking vehicle. Actually it is fun to ride it!
At night, Mr.Kunori and I cooked Japanese dinner for my host family parents, Andre&Alice, a lovely and tender couple. They loved Mr.Kunoris Tempura! Look at their smile!!
At Kooringal High school, we introduced Japanese anime, and everyone seemed to be excited about that! We did anime presentation 5 times a week in different classes.
At the end of anime presentation, Mr.Kunori talked about the great East Japan earthquake, the Tsunami disaster and the Fukushim nuclear power plant accidents. Australian students seriously listened to his talk.
I was invited to Cristian College Elementary school by a friend in Wagga wagga. Mr. Kunori talked about the earthquake, I introduced our school and 4 seasons of Japan with beautiful pictures, and taught Origami. They liked the paper baloon they created.
We are now in Wagga wagga, NSW, Australia. All the students are doing well with their host families and at schools, and Mr Kunori and I are happy to see their smile.
Here are some pictures on the first 3 days of our trip.
We took a long night flight to get to Sydney. After that we took a short flight to get to Canberra.
We ate delicious beef sandwitches for lunch.
In Canberra, we visited the Parliament building and the war museum.
On the 1st day at Kooringal, 8 students gave a presentation to show beautiful Japanese scenery using pictures taken in 4 seasons.
They spoke good English and Australian students were listening to us so eagerly!
We also demonstrated how to wear Yukata.
Both Australian and Japanese students enjoyed together!!
Mr.Liang, who is a 3rd grade Chinese exchange student of English club, left Japan this weekend to get ready for going to Canada to study in this month. We had a small but nice farewell party for him. Good luck!
Every year, just before entrance ceremony or new classes, everybody gets nervous. Me, the same.
Today, I was recording my message for freshmen, I could say "Enter English club!", but forgot to say something I really wanted to say. Probably because I was tense about my new class.
So here is the message, "I hope everyone has a happy new semester at Kunori."
